A stop for lunch at M Wells @ MOMA’s PS1 museum in Long Island City. Egg tomato pot,  gravlax tart and one “fun pie”. The tables are arranged like school desks.  Don’t forget to raise your hand to order.

Nice meals at Cafe Paradiso and Chakra. Not typically ‘Israeli’ but worth trying. Salads were excellent.

For Chinese food. Must try the Big Tray chicken .

Had a wonderful meal at chef/owner Krista Kern Desjarlais’s Bresca on Middle Street in Portland. This 18 seat , 4 nights a week only, serves up great food by a really nice staff. While there are many options in Portland, I might skip the ‘big guys’ and head to Bresca, if you are luckily enough to snag a table. And don’t forget to order the cheese.
