Dominick’s

Dinner at Dominick’s
on Beverly Drive in West Hollywood. Started with Roasted Baby Broccoli Bruschetta w/Burrata, Currants & Almonds , followed by housemade Linguine Limone w/ Roasted Chanterelle Mushrooms and Parmesan. I liked it and went back the next night for the Rice Balls w/ Mushrooms & Mozzarella, Fried Calamari, Raw Mixed Baby Kale w/ Avocado & a Smoked Tomato Vinaigrette and Grilled Hangar Steak w/ Arugula & Parmesan

Gramercy

Had a great evening at Gramercy Tavern. Instead of getting stale like so many restaurants, this one seems to get better- the food, the service, the reception.

Fluke Tartare
Radish and Caviar

Clam Chowder
Celery Root and Smoked Trout Roe

Halibut
Carrot, Cabbage and Calamari

Duck Dumplings
Turnips and Black Kale

Roasted Loin of Millbrook Venison
Chestnuts, Beets and Pear

For the wines, we had a 1995 Meursault by Robert Ampeau (Côte de Beaune) and a 2001 Clos des Lambrays.

2 Amys

Had another great meal at 2 Amys in Washington, DC. Our first server got tripped up on the slice meats selection and the clam pizza was not as good as Pepe’s but otherwise a very enjoyable dinner.
