We took advantage of the rainy day and went down to Doyers Street to try the dim sum at Nom Wah Tea Parlor. It turned out to be a good choice. We were seated quickly in one of the red booths and besides a short wait to pick up our order, the service was excellent. We ordered:
House special roast pork bun; cilantro & scalion rice roll; turnip cakes; sticky rice in bamboo leaf; shrimp sui mai; shrimp dumplings; taro dumplings; shrimp and chive dumplings; shanghainese soup dumplings; salt pepper shrimp; and Chinese greens with oyster sauce. Your blogger’s brother declared possibly the best dim sum he has had!
Next time we're in NY we should go for some dumps!
